Welcome Letters 2011

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I would like to congratulate all the exhibitors and visitors of KIHE 2011, the 18th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition.

KIHE is one of the most significant events in the country’s healthcare sector. Every year, the KIHE healthcare exhibition covers the main strategic directions and priorities in the industry, facilitating the strengthening of cooperation between the public and private sectors, and promoting the adoption of new medical technologies in the country’s healthcare system.

A feature of this exhibition is that it is being held on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic, which will be the most remarkable event in the history of the State, a year for improving the well-being of the public, and a great opportunity to turn a new page in the development of public health protection.

From 2011, a new state programme, “Salamatty Kazakhstan”, is being implemented in the country over the period 2011-2015. The programme includes measures to adapt the industry to market relations, improve cross-sectoral and interagency cooperation - with an emphasis on strengthening preventive measures - promote healthy lifestyles and increase the shared responsibility of citizens for their own health, as well as measures to stimulate domestic producers of medical and pharmaceutical products and enhance their accessibility to the public.

This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for cooperation between representatives of healthcare, science and business, in order to adopt key innovative solutions to further develop the industry as one of the most important and priority sectors of the economy.

I wish success to all the exhibitors.

S. Kairbekova
Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to welcome the exhibitors and visitors of KIHE 2011, the 18th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition.

This international healthcare exhibition in Almaty has become a tradition, and acquired special importance in light of the implementation of qualitative healthcare reforms.

KIHE demonstrates modern medical equipment and medicines, and includes a full programme of business meetings and negotiations, scientific presentations and seminars, which enables a wide range of healthcare professionals, and manufacturers and developers of high-tech medical products to discuss the prospects of industry development and sign mutually beneficial contracts.

The format of KIHE 2011 presents all the main areas of healthcare development, with the involvement of leading Kazakhstani and international manufacturers.

I am confident that the exhibition will help address problems in healthcare, improve the quality of medical services, and create favourable conditions for new projects.

I wish the exhibitors every success.

Ahmetzhan Esimov
Mayor of Almaty

Dear Exhibitors and Visitors of KIHE 2011,

On behalf of JSC National Medical Holding and myself, I would like to congratulate the organisers, exhibitors and visitors on the start of the exhibition.

The international KIHE exhibition is widely known not only in Kazakhstan but also beyond. It is here that professionals from the international medical industry are able, each year, to learn about the latest innovations in the production of medicines, medical equipment and products for healthy lifestyles.

Today, the national healthcare system is undergoing a series of major reforms, such as the introduction of the Unified National Health System, which aims to create new incentives for healthcare providers and improve the quality and effectiveness of medical care. This, in turn, calls for the radical modernisation of healthcare infrastructure and management technologies.

National Medical Holding is at the centre of all the reforms taking place in the healthcare system, and is playing a key role in their implementation. In 2008, Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev issued an order for the establishment of a medical holding based on the existing facilities, and those under construction, in Astana, for the subsequent creation on its basis of a Hospital of the Future run by an international management company.

The “Hospital of the Future” is one of the most important projects in domestic medicine, which, as President Nazarbayev noted in his December speech to students at Nazarbayev University, is to become “a platform for the introduction of new medical technologies and an engine for the development of Kazakhstan’s healthcare system”.

I am confident that KIHE 2011 will be useful for all the exhibitors and contribute to the creation of favourable conditions for upgrading the equipment of domestic healthcare institutions, which in turn will improve the quality of medical services in Kazakhstan.

I wish you every success, and I hope the exhibition provides your company with significant results.

Elzhan Birtanov
Chairman of the Board
JSC National Medical Holding

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, I am happy to welcome all exhibitors and visitors of the International Health and Dentistry Exhibition – KIНE 2010.

Exhibitions such as KIНE 2010 promote a broad introduction of the latest health technologies. This event is an excellent venue to exchange new experiences and advanced medical expertise.

Protection of the nation’s health is an integral function of any country and a social responsibility of businesses.

To address this important issue, Russian companies are willing to offer their Kazakhstan counterparts and broader population all of their latest achievements in the area of medical equipment, medications, and organisation of medical aid. Their introduction in Russia has already yielded a visible and tangible effect – for the first time in recent years, the country’s population keeps growing due to improved medical aid and supply of medications to people.

During the exhibition, enterprises from Russia will use the opportunity to strengthen their valuable business contacts in Kazakhstan, find new partners and build serious plans for the future.

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to wish all exhibitors and visitors of KIНE 2010 to stay healthy, enjoy success and a good luck in their professional activity, and achieve their goals at this event.

V. Verzhbitskiy
Head, Almaty Office,
Trade Mission of Russia in Kazakhstan

It is my pleasure to congratulate you on the opening of our professional exhibition, the 18th Kazakhstan International Health Exhibition – KIHE 2011.

This exhibition traditionally draws together medical professionals, keeps them with the time and offers an opportunity to learn more about innovative medical equipment and pharmaceuticals and put these recent developments into practice for the benefit of humans.

Though in the age of information technologies Internet offers an excellent opportunity to find any information we need, it cannot substitute for interactive human communication. That is why medical professionals wait edgily for the opening of KIHE Exhibition.

Over a distance of eighteen years, KIHE has grown into the most important event for medical and pharmaceutical professionals of Kazakhstan. In 2011, more than 150 companies participate in the exhibition and this fact speaks for their business interest to establish long-standing cooperation and meet the challenges facing Kazakhstan public health services.

Dear Exhibitors and Guests,

On behalf of the organising committee, GiMA International Exhibition Group GmbH, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome all exhibitors and visitors to KIHE 2011, the leading healthcare event of Central Asia.

Already for the 4th time in a row, Germany is presented with an official joint stand that has been organised by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology BMWI in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association ZVEI. This year, 20 German companies are taking advantage of this official presentation in order to establish and strengthen valuable business contacts in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

It is one of Germany’s major national interests to engage and to reliably integrate into the healthcare markets of our common world. Especially in the field of healthcare, globalisation and its impacts are a daily challenge to growth and social welfare. Kazakhstan is an important trade partner of the European Union and a lot of German companies already have established valuable business contacts. Both countries benefit from the high standard of German technology in the healthcare sector and so we are able to contribute reliable solutions to this industry.

I would particularly like to thank all the individuals, government bodies, companies and associations who have worked together to make KIHE the success it is today.

I would like to wish all participants and visitors a successful exhibition and I am looking forward to seeing you again next year.
