Big rise in exhibitor numbers at KIHE 2012

KIHE 2012, the 19th Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition, has experienced a 35% rise in exhibitor numbers this year, with 209 companies from 22 countries appearing at the event.

This considerable increase reflects the growth in domestic medicine production and the increased business activity in healthcare in general.

More Kazakhstani exhibitors are featuring this year, and international companies have maintained their presence at the event. Germany, China, and newcomer Malaysia will all have national stands at KIHE 2012, and the city administration of Nizhniy Novgorod is organising a collective participation. In terms of exhibitor numbers, Kazakhstan is leading the way with 40% of all exhibitors, followed by Russia (20%), Germany (12%), China (7%), Turkey, and Malaysia (both 3%). Bangladesh is being represented at the exhibition for the first time, and South Korean companies are back at KIHE after a short time away. Other countries represented among the exhibitors are Austria, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, India, Japan, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, the USA, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.

These exhibitors represent the whole spectrum of medical goods and services - from producers, dealers, and distributors of medical equipment to pharmaceutical manufacturers, disinfectant producers, and many more.

The exhibition will also feature an extensive business programme, held concurrently in two seminar rooms in Pavilions 11 and 10 for the first time. Over 20 seminars and presentations will take place in the two venues, enabling delegates to find out about the latest medical technology and get tips from the developers, and a round table will be organised by the Almaty Government Institute for the Development of Doctors, entitled “University Clinics: Possibilities and Prospects”. Leading specialists from Kazakhstan, Russia, and further afield will be among the delegates.

“KIHE’s format will open up new opportunities for innovative products to be promoted. It will attract leading international manufacturers of medical equipment and pharmaceutical products, healthcare professionals, and Government representatives - the entire medical community from all over the country,” said Anastasia Balysheva, Project Manager of KIHE.
